KRISTINE BOURCIER
Kristine Boucier

ARTIST'S STATEMENT: Simple repetitive forms, in great quantities, give of a feeling of excess and decadence. This necklace speaks about the excess of surplus corn grown in the United States, and the serious effect it is having on the global community. My need to act, react, and interact with my surroundings, environmentally and culturally, has led me to use me background as metalsmith, jeweler, and lover of craft, to communicate my thoughts on contemporary society.
