ARTIST'S STATEMENT: An important aspect of jewelry is the expression of femininity. Using the abstraction of characteristic aspects of plant growth my aim is to create sexy, tactile and distinctive wearable jewelry. I like to make my work using traditional hand techniques and materials to evolve and evoke an expressively natural dimensional form. This drive to create wearable work mirrors the persistent need people have to use jewelry as a deeply personal form of expression. In this juxtaposition is a space for continual play and exploration. The pleasure of the process is complete when the piece is worn and enjoyed.
