ARTIST'S STATEMENT: The subtleties of my current residence, the Midwestern landscape, provide information and inspiration. Environmental conditions make impressions and patinas on objects; I am interested in the imperfect, variegated textures and forms that result. I aspire to portray my passion of working in metal through fabrication, mark-making, painting, scratching, and removing; resulting in pieces that provide information of the past while speaking of the present.
